ON SATURDAY NIGHT

WE KNEW YOU WERE COMING, SO WE BAKED A CAKE: Celebrity caterer Steve Ozark, left, prepared quite a spread for the party backstage at Willie Nelson's Waikiki Shell concert, but he kept the special "Willie Nelson" cake off the menu until the guest of honor, center, could see it. Phil "Mr. Phil" Nakayama, a familiar face backstage, helped Ozark present the cake.

OLD WHISKEY RIVER MEN: Shep Gordon, left, and Tom Moffatt, co-presenters of the Nelson concert, were all smiles backstage as the weather remained perfect and the crowd flowed in. Both were wearing caps that advertised Nelson's limited-edition boutique beverage, Old Whiskey River bourbon.

AND THEN FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: Robbie "Tom Kat" Quine (in the thong) led L.A. show-rockers Sex with Lurch through an entertaining late-night show at the Wave Waikiki. "Night of the Surfing Dead," "Sex Android" and "Alice in Fetishland" set the tone for 90 minutes of classic surf rock blended with goth, glitter and B-movie soundtrack melodies.
