a 78-69 loss to SMU
DALLAS (AP) -- Quinton Ross scored 27 points and Patrick Simpson added 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead SMU to a 78-69 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night.Kris Lowe added 13 points, going 3-of-3 from the field, for SMU (12-9, 7-4 Western Athletic).
Carl English led Hawaii (13-7, 6-6) with 21 points, but he committed six turnovers and fouled out. Phil Martin had 15 points and Mark Campbell had 12 points and eight assists for Hawaii.
SMU led 30-28 at halftime.
