Ernest "Benny" Benevides, 80, of Honolulu, a Benny's Tax Service proprietor and a retired U.S. Army veteran, died Jan. 30 in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. Walter Phillip "Wally" Burton, 76, of Honolulu, a retired Hawaiian Fluid Power general manager, died Monday in Pearl City. He was born in Santa Cruz, Calif. He is survived by wife Mary; sons David, Mark, James and Philip; daughter Catherine; brothers David and Edward Burton; sister Barbara Owen; and nine grandchildren. William "Noble" Ellanna, 17, of Ewa Beach, will be remembered in private services. Ellanna was riding a bicycle and collided with a truck after veering into oncoming traffic on Fort Weaver Road. He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition and died on Jan. 23. He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by father Willie Villagran, stepmother Teresa Duque and stepbrother Shawn Medeiros.

Miyo Fujima, 70, of Honolulu, a homemaker, died Jan. 27 in St. Francis-West Hospice. She was born in Japan. She is survived by husband Lawrence T. Fujima. Private services.

Joseph Kamae Ha'o, 83, of Hilo, a retired Federal Aviation Administration facilities chief, died Jan. 30 in St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Caroline N.; sons Joseph Jr., Bryan H.K. and Jack K.; daughters Dorothy K. Camaron David Daniel Tuupoina, 22, of Honolulu, will be remembered in services 10 a.m. Sunday at Borthwick Mortuary. Call after 9 a.m. Tuupoina died Tuesday when he fell from a Waikiki hotel and landed on the roof of a van that had stopped at a Kuhio Avenue stoplight. He was born in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and was a Royal Steak & Seafood restaurant employee. He is survived by father Alfred, mother Jeanette Renneberg, sister Amber, half sisters Elizabeth Voss and Courtney Sprague, half brothers Gregory Voss and Michael Tuupoina, and hanai sister Meagen Ables.
