Over the edge

Here are two more highlight events that we just couldn't fit into today's Weekend section:

° Bluegrass and acoustic music favorites Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum return to the islands for a concert tonight at The Doris Duke at the Academy, Honolulu Academy of Arts. Hawaii's own Wild Orchid String Band will open the 7:30 show. Tickets are $18, $15 for Academy members. Call 532-8700.

° Beethoven's Nightmare, billed as "America's only all-deaf rock 'n' roll performance band," performs their blend of music, comedy and magic at the Hard Rock Cafe Sunday starting at 6:30 p.m.
Co-sponsored with the Hawaii Services on Deafness, this benefit concert is for the VSArts of Hawaii-Pacific (formerly the Very Special Arts of Hawai'i). The $25 admission price includes dinner with $10 tax deductible. For advance tickets, call 926-4763 or 945-1438 this weekend.
