PARTY WITH THE BEAMERS: Tony Conjugacion, left and Marlene Sai, standing, joined Sunbeam, Gaye and Mahi'ai Beamer at the Outrigger Waikiki Thursday to help Harry B. Soria Jr. celebrate the release of his CD honoring John K. Almeida. Sai, Mahi'ai Beamer and Kawai Cockett joined Baba Alimoot and Chris Kamaka in providing the music. Gaye danced hula.

CHECKING OUT THE SECOND CITY: Promoter Greg Azus, standing, welcomed multifaceted actress-playwright Margaret Jones, left, actor Roger Wilco and Ray and Karen Bumatai to opening night of the Second City Touring Company at Gussie L'Amour's on Thursday. Ray Bumatai, a versatile actor and comedian, has performed similar material in shows here.

GREAT JOB, GUYS!: Hula Records executive Cindy Lance and Clifford Miller, right, congratulated Tommy and Kahauanu Lake on a beautiful show at Kawaiaha'o Church on Saturday. Mahi'ai Beamer and Nina Keali'iwahamana opened the show as special guests of the K-Lake Singers. The music and hula were exquisite. The kaona (hidden meaning) of the event was unmistakable.
