Geologist and videographer Jenda Johnson will begin the tour at the park's visitor center at 8:30 a.m.

Other speakers will be Don Swanson, head of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, speaking on explosive eruptions; and observatory geologist Christina Heliker, describing the history of Puu Oo.

The tour will conclude with an "elegant lunch" at the Kilauea Lodge.

The price is $50 for nonmembers and $40 for members.
