A CLASSY, GLASSY NORTH SHORE RIDE

FL MORRIS / FMORRIS@STARBULLETIN.COM A large winter swell and calm, glassy conditions created excellent surf yesterday at select spots along Oahu's North Shore. Banzai Pipeline was in classic form with 8- to 10-foot (local scale) sets. One surfer took advantage of those sets, taking a ride through a 10-foot Pipeline barrel.
