Power man: Tower of Power leader Emilio Castillo, center, came out front after the big TOP concert at the Sheraton-Waikiki. Jeanette Trevias, left, Yvonne Martin, Sista Sherry, of Krater 96, Augie Rey and "Little Albert" Maligmat were among the many who stayed to meet him. Kata Maduli, D.J. Pratt, Dennis and Vincent Mendoza, Michael Grande, Eddie Maligmat, Robin Kimura and Eddie Santiago also attended.
BEAU KNOWS HOW TO PARTY: Ocean Club general manager Beau Mohr welcomed Susan Miura, left, and Grace Takeuchi to Russell Tanoue's Electric Piranha Room party at the Ocean Club. The lines outside were long, but the lucky ones who got inside saw some great work by Tanoue's performers.
WHERE DA BUD AT?: Ho'onua vocalist Christian Yrizarry, left, promoter Duane Oyama and David "Davey D" Daniel's, of KCCN/FM100 and "Overdrive Live," partied backstage at Oyama's sold-out Winter Bash concert at the Waikiki Shell. The backstage area was almost as crowded as the public area out front; Chino Montero and rapper/record producer Big Teeze were also in the crowd hanging out backstage between sets.
