The food bank's directors will host a Kick-Off Breakfast 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Coral Ballroom.
Speakers, including Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona, will rally the attendees.
About 300 individuals from companies, organizations, charitable agencies and volunteer groups are expected to attend. Supporters include First Hawaiian Bank, KGMB 9, KSSK AM/FM and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
Food and fund drives will be held from tomorrow through April 19.
Drop-off sites are Restaurant Row, Koko Marina Center, Town Center of Mililani, McCully Shopping Center, Pearl City Shopping Center, Waianae Mall Shopping Center, Waiokeola Congregational Church and various military locations.
Most-needed items include financial contributions and the following canned items: meat, tuna, meals (spaghetti, chili), soups, vegetables and fruits, beans.
Goals for this year's food drive are 525,000 pounds of food and $400,000.
