The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Thinly traded Ceatech USA Inc. posted a 13.6 percent gain to lead 11 other stocks this week in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. Ceatech, which closed yesterday at 25 cents, rose 3 cents Wednesday in its only trading day. Ceatech in top spot
Cyanotech Corp., the index's top performer this year with a 25 percent rise, advanced 4.2 percent to finish with the second-best gain over the five-day period. Cyanotech's stock has now risen 61.3 percent to 50 cents since hitting its 52-week low of 31 cents on Dec. 26. The company will report earnings on Thursday.
