Qigong master Li Junfeng will be teaching two workshops on "Sheng Zhen Qigong in Detail Saturday and Sunday in the 1 Kalakaua Senior Living Multipurpose Center, at 1314 Kalakaua Ave. (corner of Young Street).

The workshops will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the fee is $100 for one day or $190 for both days.

For 15 years, Li was the coach of the Beijing Wushu team, leading them to 12 years of gold medals in China's national martial arts competitions. He also gained fame as a martial arts movie star and director, and counts Jet Li among his students.

At the height of his career, he walked away from the film industry to teach a new style of qigong called Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong, meaning "sacred truth." It is based on the principle of unconditional love, and Li claims it can remove stress, sadness and other negative emotions.
