Apply for state art fellowships
The University of Hawaii Art Gallery exhibition catalogue "A Tradition of Excellence" has won a Silver Medal in the Excellence in Print 2002 competition, which recognizes accomplished work in lithography.
The 128-page catalogue accompanied an exhibition of the work of retired faculty from the Department of Art. It was designed by graphic design student Lena Mochimaru and printed by Hagadone Printing Company.
The catalogue is available at the UH Art Gallery or in the gallery office (Art Building, room 215) for $25. Mail orders can be made for additional handling and postage. Checks should be made payable to UH Art Gallery and sent to UH Art Gallery, Department of Art, 2535 McCarthy Hall, Honolulu, HI 96822.

Apply for state art fellowships
The State Foundation for Culture and the Arts is taking applications for fellowships in the visual arts. Up to seven applicants will be awarded the $5,000 fellowships.
Work samples in the following media will be accepted: artist books, crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, film, video, conceptual, performance art and installation.
