Ballet Hawaii seeks piano
for studio use

Star-Bulletin staff

Is your piano simply sitting around, a shelf for family photos and knickknacks? It can still fulfill its musical destiny.

Ballet Hawaii is seeking the donation of a piano for its studios at the Dole Cannery where its classes, for students of all ages, take place under the direction of artistic director Pamela Taylor-Tongg.

Having live rehearsal music enables Ballet Hawaii to better prepare for its productions, including this year's presentations of "Giselle" in May and "Nutcracker" in December.

Individuals or companies with a piano to donate may call Judy Muncaster at 521-8600. The local nonprofit organization can offer a tax deduction to the accepted donor, as well as make arrangements to move the piano to its studios.
