Star-Bulletin staff

Lanakila, a private nonprofit that provides services and training to adults with disabilities, is looking for volunteers for its development programs.

The more than 250 participants in the program receive training in select vocational areas, ranging from food service to sewing, and are coached in the development of appropriate work behavior and basic employee responsibilities.

Volunteers are needed to "add different insight and perspectives" and aid the participants in learning specific job skills, said Lanakila employee Kelina Isaacs.

Volunteers are needed Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hours are flexible and no experience is needed. For information, call Lanakila at 531-0555 or visit www.lanakilahawaii.org.
