The rookie receiver, who prepped at Radford, caught four passes for 106 yards, including a juggling 27-yard reception down the right sideline on which he managed to come down inbounds.
The catch came on a first-and-18 from the Bronco 9 and led to Denver's first score of the game, a 25-yard field goal from fellow Hawaii alumnus Jason Elam two seconds before halftime. Elam also kicked an extra point.
The only other player with a Hawaii tie to get a touch yesterday was Kahuku alumnus Itula Mili. The Seahawks' starting tight end caught one pass for 21 yards.
On defense, Hawaii alumnus Jeff Ulbrich had a strong game Saturday. The 49ers' starting outside linebacker made four solo tackles and assisted on three others and shared a sack.
Also starting yesterday were centers Olin Kreutz (St. Louis School) of the Bears, Dominic Raiola (St. Louis) of the Lions and Kevin Mawae (dad grew up in Hawaii) of the Jets, right guards Toniu Fonoti (Kahuku) of the Chargers, Kynan Forney (Hawaii) of the Falcons and Chris Naeole (Kahuku) of Jacksonville.
Former Hawaii lineman Adrian Klemm came off the bench on the Patriots' offensive line, and Mililani and Hawaii alumnus James Fenderson played special teams for the Saints. Defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu (Kahuku) played for the Ravens but made no tackles.
