The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Hawaiian Airlines' parent Hawaiian Holding Inc. lead the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index this week with a 13.9 percent gain. Airline stock takes off
In second place was the leader for the year, Central Pacific Bank parent CPB Inc. It gained 6.2 percent for the week and has nearly doubled year-to-date.
Penny stock Ceatech USA Inc. brought up the rear with a 42.3 percent loss to end at 15 cents.
