THEY CAME, They saw, they cooked!: "Cookin' " at the Hawaii Theatre was the week's best bet in cross-cultural theater, and the stars of the Korean extravaganza made time to sample local culture between shows. Cast members, from left, Seoung Soo Yoo, Hyung Seock Jung, Hyun Jin Lee, Young Hoon Kim and Sung Woo Choi, went casual after a hot opening show on Wednesday.
CONGRATULATIONS!: Lehua Kalima Heine and Milton Lau exchanged greetings during The Breeze's "Concert in the Courtyard at the Sheraton Moana-Surfrider on Thursday. His two compilation albums, released this year in conjunction with the Hawaiian Slack-key Festival are sold out. She says her baby is doing well too.
BOZE MAKES HISTORY?: The Brothers Cazimero (Robert, left, and Roland) headlined the concert broadcast on The Breeze, and can anyone remember the last time Roland (who is also known as Boze) played a show sitting in a chair? A historic moment, to be sure, and a great set by the Brothers. Several of Robert's Gentlemen of Na Kamalei contributed a crisp hula to the show.
