Lelie, the former Hawaii star, scored his first NFL touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Brian Griese to give the Denver Broncos a 13-6 lead over the New York Jets with 11 seconds left in the first half.
The Jets rallied in the second half for a 19-13 victory.
Lelie finished the day with three catches for 38 yards, and he has 28 receptions for 346 yards on the season.
Jason Elam, another former Hawaii standout, missed field goals of 33 and 46 yards in the third quarter as the Broncos failed to hold off the Jets.
Elam was 1-for-1 on extra points and kicked first-half field goals of 22 and 23 yards.
Elam is 21-for-31 on field goals this year, and his .677 percentage is well below his career low of .722 in 1997.
San Francisco's Jeff Ulbrich, the former Hawaii linebacker, made four tackles as the 49ers rallied to beat Dallas.
Kahuku High School alumnus Itula Mili made two 12-yard catches for Seattle in a loss to Philadelphia.
Pittsburgh's Kimo von Oelhoffen, who grew up on Molokai, had three tackles in the Steelers' loss to Houston.
