Homeowners who want to enter should submit 10 color photos of their outdoor holiday decorations and a 200-word (or less) essay describing their plan and passion for dressing their homes. Entries will be judged on creativity, thematic presentation and visual impact.
The grand-prize winner will receive a $10,000 Sears gift card. Second- and third-place winners will receive $5,000 and $2,500 gift cards, respectively, and there will be seven honorable mention winners, each receiving a $1,000 Sears gift card.
Submit entries by mail or e-mail by noon Thursday to searsfestivehome@hunterpr.com or Sears Search for America's Most Festive Home, care of Hunter Public Relations, 41 Madison Ave., 5th Floor, New York, NY 10010. E-mailed photos must be in jpg or gif format, 72 dpi. File size should be no larger than 200K. Include name, date of birth, address, daytime phone number with area code and e-mail address if available, with all entries.
