A Navy announcement said the contract contains options that could run the amount up to $7.6 million. Bids were solicited from five companies and Marisco was one of two that made offers, the Navy said. The work is to be completed by May.
Fred Anawati, Marisco president, said he expects to add about 25 workers to his existing staff of 120 for the duration of the contract.
