Roadwork this week on Oahu



Roadwork will slow traffic
on 3 highways


The state Department of Transportation is closing lanes along Pali, Likelike and Kalanianaole highways until Friday for various roadwork projects.

Lane closures on Pali Highway include:

>> A lane in the vicinity of Castle Junction from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility line work. Crew members will install variable message and changeable message signs.

Lane closures on Likelike Highway through Kalihi Valley include:

>> A lane in the Honolulu-bound direction from the vicinity of Valley View Drive to the pedestrian overpass at Kula Kolea Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction of retaining walls.

>> A lane in the Kaneohe-bound direction from Nalanieha Street to Valley View Drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for slope stabilization work.

>> A lane in either the Kaneohe-bound or Honolulu-bound direction between Valley View Drive to the Burmeister Overpass from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement re-striping work.

Lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. include:

>> A lane heading Honolulu-bound or Koko Head-bound between the H-1 freeway and West Hind Drive for guardrail installation and other roadway work.

>> The left lane in the Honolulu-bound direction at Wailupe Circle to extend the left-turn lane. Motorists will be allowed to turn left to Wailupe Circle from the highway during the work.
