Celebrities to assist with McDonalds fund-raiser

Parents and Children Together (PACT) is administering the program through Head Start/Early Head Start Programs at certain schools and churches.
For example, a household making $1,105 a month will entitle a child to a free meal, while a household making $1,573 would qualify for a reduced price meal, depending on the number of people in the family. For eligibility rules, call Noelle Granato of PACT at 842-5996.
Breakfasts, lunches and snacks are provided at Fern Elementary School, Kalihi Elementary, Island Family Christian Church, Kalihi Waena Elementary, Kuhio Park Terrace, the Ponds at Punaluu, St. Mark's Church, Ko'olauloa Elementary, Na Lei Preschool, Laura Morgan Kindergarten Children Aid Association (KCAA) Preschool, and Atherton KCAA Preschool.

Celebrities participating in the fund-raiser include:
>> Miss America 2001 Angela Baraquio at the School Street McDonald's from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Ronald McDonald House has helped more than 6,000 families, or about 15,000 children, since it opened in Hawaii 15 years ago.>> Musician Jake Shimabukuro and University of Hawaii water polo coach Cindy Rote at the King Street McDonald's from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
>> UH softball coach Bob Coolen and members of the UH cheerleading squad at the Manoa McDonald's from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
