Bumpei Akaji left large imprint on local art scene

Conrad "Sugar" Negrone Caravalho, 82, of Honolulu, a retired cable car operator in San Francisco and a semiprofessional boxer, died Oct. 22 in Kaiser Medical Center. He is also survived by sisters Mary, Anita, Margaret and Benerita; and brothers Joe, Manuel, Frank and Ernest. The mortuary provided additional information for an obituary published Friday.

Thomas Kwan Lin Ching, 78, of Kaneohe, a retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard electrician, died Sunday in Kailua. He was born on Oahu.
