So it's probably not a coincidence that Mili made a career-high six catches yesterday in a loss to Washington. Hasselbeck is the team's starting quarterback again due to an injury to Trent Dilfer.
Mili's six catches yielded 71 yards and brought his season totals to 17 receptions for 150 yards.
The 6-4, 260-pound Mili, in his seventh year with the Seahawks, is a Kahuku High School alumnus.
Another former Kahuku player, defensive end Maake Kemoeatu, made one tackle in Baltimore's loss to Atlanta.
Jeff Ulbrich, the former Hawaii linebacker, made three tackles in San Francisco's overtime victory over Oakland.
Eight other players with Hawaii connections played in NFL games yesterday: starting centers Olin Kreutz (St. Louis School) of Chicago, Dominic Raiola (St. Louis) of Detroit and Kevin Mawae (dad grew up in Hawaii) of the New York Jets, starting guards Kynan Forney (Hawaii) of Atlanta, Toniu Fonoti (Kahuku) of San Diego and Chris Naeole (Kahuku) of Jacksonville, starting defensive end Kimo von Oelhoffen (Molokai) of Pittsburgh and backup offensive lineman Adrian Klemm (Hawaii) of New England.
