On the Scene
Forté / Afterthought
CD Party
Jenny And Friends: International recording artist Jennifer Perri (wearing glasses) partied with her sister, Jasmine, center front, pals Chloe, left, and Chelsea Gines, DisGuyz' leader Jason Lent, back left, and Tanner Henderson, at the Forté CD party at the Hawaiian Hut on Saturday. Lent, Kimo Henderson, and the Afterthought Band performed an imaginative version of "Lately" that they should record.
FUTURE STARS: Peter "Bruno" Hernandez, left, played drums in the Afterthought Band. Lee Daniel Romero stopped by with record producer Matt Young -- the guy who obtained contracts with national labels for three local pop groups in the '90s.
SWEET, GEE!: Forté member Gissele "Gee" Tejada, center, celebrated with her proud parents, Susan and Arsenio, after the group's mini-concert with the Afterthought Band. Forté opened with "Sweet Candy 9" and closed with their three pop chart remakes. Glenn Medeiros joined them on "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You." Gee stole the show, wearing black minishorts.
