What qualifies you to be a state senator?

I have many experiences with the travel and tourism industry. We need someone who has tourism as their specialty in the state Senate.

How would you improve Hawaii's public schools, and how would you pay for it?

Better learning material for the students and newer buildings for a good work area. Keeping drugs out of the schools and more security guards that will do their job correctly. Get more money from the travel industry to allocate money to the school system.

What should be done to improve Hawaii's business climate?

To improve sports industry such as creating a summer Olympic town, to offer all other nations to enjoy sports in a wonderful Hawaii climate. With that Hawaii will become the mecca of sports in the world.

How would you improve Hawaii's public schools, and how would you pay for it?

Give regional school complexes direct control over resources (e.g., personnel, facilities, priorities and curriculum), and pay for increased support out of savings and the state's 'Rainy Day' fund. Spending decisions should be made at the regional complex level because teachers, school administrators and students are being evaluated on their performance.

What should be done to improve Hawaii's business climate?

Reduce bureaucratic lag time by providing more government services and information online. Every government agency should be customer- and user-oriented, looking for ways to streamline processes and facilitate problem-solving. The Legislature and state government should continue offering targeted tax incentives to stimulate business growth. ...
