What qualifies you to be a state representative?
I believe I am well connected with the community and its current problems, and also know what needs to be done. As a representative I will pursue issues that benefit education, employment and the welfare of each and everyone in the district -- businesses & individuals.
How would you improve Hawaii's public schools, and how would you pay for it?
I prefer decentralizing the Education Department. As I recalled a community meeting with some member of the Department of Education in regards to how they respond to various complaints and proposal from schools. What qualifies you to be a state representative?
The belief I can responsibly serve the people of Waipahu and state with dedication and integrity. My desire is to be a true servant leader who welcomes change and represents the will of the people. I have the experience, skills and knowledge of the law to be an effective legislator.
How would you improve Hawaii's public schools, and how would you pay for it?
It is time we accept that government cannot meet the growing costs of public education. Our public school system should be given all the support necessary to improve schools' condition, resources and teacher's wages. I would support a state lottery with 100 percent of the proceeds going to public education.
What, if anything, should be done to improve Hawaii's business climate?
The next legislative session should look towards eliminating Hawaii's personal income tax and move Hawaii towards a sales tax system.
