What qualifies you to be a state representative?
My background in business and community service gives me a unique and broad perspective on the issues that face our community. My four years of experience have helped me to become effective in the Legislature.
How would you improve Hawaii's public schools, and how would you pay for it?
This year's Legislature spent an unprecedented amount of money on school repair and maintenance, and that is where we must start. The 1,900 newly refurbished classrooms will give our kids a better environment for learning. We found the money by moving education to the top of the priority list.
What, if anything, should be done to improve Hawaii's business climate?
Establish a genuine, cooperative dialogue with the business community that results in substantive change. Continue to lower taxes where practicable.
