If you like to do-it-yourself when it comes to gift-making or decorating, it's time to get on the ball.
Free one-hour craft demonstrations are being offered throughout Oahu to help people prepare for the requirements of the season.
This year's classes, offered by the Windward, West and South Oahu Associations for Family & Community Education in collaboration with the University of Hawaii Cooperative Extension Service, include a reindeer stocking, decorated Christmas bells, origami style bookmarks, checkbook covers created out of fabric scraps and pyramid-shaped boxes that can be used for odd-sized gifts.
Recipes to be featured are for Mexican fruit cake, mango chutney and more.
