Mihrabs are found in mosques and indicate the direction of Mecca. Owen Moore, collections manager at the estate, spoke Tuesday about the piece. The estate will be open to the public in November. POLICE CHANGE THEIR COLORS

New uniforms in olive drab will replace the dark-blue battle dress uniforms. Officer Roy Fuata, left, wore a new uniform; officer Keith Benrajab, center, wore a sniper uniform; and Lt. Stuart Kimura wore an old uniform.

BOAT ACCIDENT ON H-1

DEAN SENSUI / DSENSUI@STARBULLETIN.COM A truck towing a 36-foot boat had to stop suddenly on the East-bound H-1 Freeway, causing the boat to break free and crash into the truck. No serious injuries were reported in the 8:30 a.m. accident near the Kaahumanu Street Overpass.
