'Insomnia' Warner Bros. Home Video $26.98/DVD and $22.98/VHS

This gripping noir-thriller starring Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Hilary Swank, debuts on home video next Tuesday. Directed by Christopher Nolan ("Memento"), it's a remake of a 1997 Norwegian film about a detective who investigates a murder in the far north, ends up being unable to sleep because of the 24-hour daylight, shoots his partner (accidentally?) and tries to blame it on a local killer.

There will be some "eye-opening" extras included on the DVD version:

The DVD also includes Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, English and French languages (dubbed in Quebec) and subtitles in English, French and Spanish. The DVD will be available in both widescreen and fullscreen versions.
