Take a positive trip to Keauhou Resort
The Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort on the Big Island will host more than 60 practitioners and holistic businesses during a free expo offering healing music performances, classes and mini workshops on positive living.The events take place 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Featured speakers include author John Gray on "Mars and Venus on a Diet," Dane Silva on "Integration of Multi-cultural Healing Arts," Marta Berreras on "Creating Harmony and Abundance with Feng Shui," Carol Hannum on "Energy/Alchemy," and many others.
There will also be demonstrations of sacred movement, tai chi, belly dancing, and more.

Celebrating Ka'iulani with a week of events
Oahu's Sheraton Princess Ka'iulani Hotel will host a week of special events honoring the legacy of its namesake, Princess Victoria Ka'iulani, from Oct. 13 to 19.Free events from 3 to 5 p.m. daily are: hula lessons Oct. 13; flower lei-making Oct. 14; Hawaiian language Oct. 15; flower hairpin making Oct. 17; cooking demonstration Oct. 18; and ukulele lesson Oct. 19.
On the princess' birthday, Oct. 16, Ka'iulani Elementary School students will give a free 4:30 p.m. performance by the poolside lava-rock stage, with a re-enactment of a royal procession at 5:30 p.m.
The crowning event is the Princess Ka'iulani Keiki Hula Festival in the Ainahau Showroom from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19.
The non-competitive showcase will feature children ages 5 to 12. Admission is free.
Browse through an arts and crafts fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the lobby before the hula festival.
In addition to the keiki performances, there will be a half-time tribute to the princess, performed by dancers from Tihati.
