Yukie Anzai, 78, of Ewa Beach, died Sept. 17. She was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. She is survived by son Glenn; daughters Coleen Kugiya, Rochelle Yoshizaki and Dawn Tatsumi; brother Masato Maebo; sisters Toshiko Miyakaku, Misue Furuta, Chisato Holk and Yoshie Masada; and six grandchildren. Gladys Leilani Banagan-Hanato, 47, of Captain Cook, Kona, Hawaii, a homemaker, died Monday in Kona Community Hospital. She was born in Kealakekua, Kona, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Minoru Hanato, stepson Keith Hanato, hanai mother Primrose Diaz, brother Lorenzo Watan, sisters Margaret Smith and Magdalena Watan-Abrojina and hanai brother Walter Diaz. Federico P. Cagasan, 92, of Kahului, a retired Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Co. employee, died Monday in Hale Makua, Wailuku. He was born in the Philippines. William "Bill" Gomes Figueira, 92, of Hilo, a retired harvesting supervisor for the former Mauna Kea Sugar Co. and an employee for the former Savemore Supermarket, died Wednesday in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Leslie and Elmer, daughters Laverne Rapoza and Mary Ann Mandaloniz, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Edwin Ernest Johnson, 74, of Phoenix, an U.S. Army military police, died July 14 in Glendale, Ariz. He was born in San Diego.
