2 Maui teenage
crash victims to be
remembered in services

Joshua Robert Ayonayon and Fleming James Bascar Jr., best friends who died after a car crash on Maui late Friday night, will be remembered in joint services Sunday.

Services for the two teenagers will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Ballard Family Mortuary. Call after 3 p.m.

Ayonayon, 16, of Wailuku, was a student at Baldwin High School.

He was born in Lanai City.

He is survived by parents Perlito Villon and Dorothea Ayonayon; sisters Terrilyn Gamit and Darlene Ayonayon; grandparents Tereza Ayonayon and Alfredo Vergara.

The family asks that aloha attire be worn and flowers be omitted. Cremation will follow the services.

Bascar, 17, of Wailuku, died Saturday in Maui Memorial Medical Center.

He worked for Maui Pineapple Co. Bascar was born in Wailuku.

Bascar is survived by parents Fleming J. Bascar Sr. and June Hoewaa; brothers Panfilo M. and Richard O.W.; sisters Desiree K. Hoewaa and Cherie M. Hoewaa-Hubin; grandparents Panfilo and Muilang Bascar, Wilhelmina Hoewaa and Gladys P. Marras.

Graveside services for Bascar will be 10 a.m. Monday at Piihana Cemetery.
