Good times on Big Isle
Cecilio and Kapono will get together for a performance 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Hilton Waikoloa Village's Grand Ballroom on the Big Island. The concert wraps up the resort's first monthlong "Kani Ka Pila, A Return to Paradise," a celebration of Hawaiian music, food and culture.One of Hawaii's most popular duos, Cecilio Rodriguez and Henry Kapono recorded eight albums and won multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Tickets are $45 and include two drinks. Special dinner-and-concert packages are also available, at $95 per person including tax and gratuity, with a three-course prix fixe meal at Donatoni's, Imari or Kamuela Provision Company.

Luxury in Hana
The venerable Hotel Hana-Maui is back in plushy splendor, upgraded and restored, and all grown up.Upgrades include refurbished interiors in all Sea Ranch cottages, a remodeled main dining room, lobby and Paniolo bar, a restored Hana Town Center and Hana Ranch Restaurant, and a redesigned garden pool pavilion. A $2.5 million spa is scheduled to open next fall. Renovations will total $10.3 million by project's end.
