About 200 people were sworn in as naturalized citizens yesterday by U.S. Judge David A. Ezra. After the ceremonies, jubilant family members Jack and Palepa Gardner hugged their daughter Taimane after taking a family picture next to the American flag. Palepa Gardner, originally from Samoa, received her U.S. citizenship.
