Taro is tops

"Electric Kitchen" airs at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. Monday, 5 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Thursday on Oceanic Channel 16. All the recipes from the show are online at www.heco.com.
In a saucepan, heat oil. Sauté ginger and garlic 1 minute. Add tomatoes; continue to cook until a sauce is formed. Add shrimp and patis; simmer 5 minutes. Add taro and lima beans; continue cooking until taro absorbs most of the liquid, 5 to 10 minutes. Serves 6.Taro and Lima Beans
1 tablespoon salad oil
3 tablespoons slivered ginger
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 medium tomatoes, in wedges
1 package (1 ounce) dried shrimp, soaked in water
2 tablespoons patis (clear fish sauce)
1-1/2 pounds cooked taro, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 packages (10 ounces) frozen lima beans
