HITS IN THE MAKING: Record producers élan and Jason Lent (the two on the left) of Afterthought Productions, the creative team behind Forté's big comeback album, "Montage," are working with Maka and Bruno on a project that could take the duo to a national deal. Bruno, sporting a retro 'fro, has come a long way from being "the world's youngest Elvis."

RUMOURS -- 21 and it STILL ROCKS: Yvette Gabriel, left, and Edwina Cantu enjoyed late-night music with Lee Daniel Romero and Al Neal, right, at Rumours. Romero made his local concert debut singing "Akaka Falls" at the Commodores' "Celebrate America Celebrate Aloha" concert at the Waikiki Shell Sept. 7. Rumours is celebrating its 21st anniversary this month.
