Showing face,
dropping namesThe big winner of the UH-BYU game face painting contest at Starr Seigle Communications Inc. was StarrPR account executive Sukil Suh. His prize -- a day off.
"Did you see him?" asked co-worker Sally White.
"His face was all black with green stuff on it ... artistic it was not" laughed White, administrative assistant to Jack Bates, chairman and chief executive officer.

Sukil Suh: Gets a day off for winning Starr Seigle's UH-BYU face-painting contest
[Disclaimer: The advertising agency's award-winning art department was apparently not involved in Suh's facial paint job.]
Evidently the whole state had the opportunity to see Suh -- he wound on all four local newscasts Friday night and in the pages of the Star-Bulletin on Saturday.
With a promotion to host Friday evening, Suh became concerned he might not be able to remove all traces of the day's merriment.
"I spent 20 minutes in the men's restroom trying to get that thing off," he said. Successfully scrubbed and changed, he arrived at the Disney on Ice media night only to have his cell phone burst with calls from the hoards of friends who'd seen him on the news.
Back to work
A $600,000 grant to Hawaii Pacific University from the Frear Eleemosynary Trust will put many to work, academically speaking, in the school's computer center. Once it's built, that is.The $1 million center will bear the trust's name when it is completed next summer.
That affords time to practice pronunciation of eleemosynary (el-uh-MOSS-in-airy).
