What qualifies you to be a state senator?
I have been an active volunteer and community member for 13 years. I have eight years of city government experience and almost three years as a state representative. My knowledge of the community, government experience and commitment and dedication to improving our district qualifies me to be a state senator.
What is the most pressing issue facing your district and what would you do about it?
The most pressing issue facing my district is traffic congestion. A plan is now in place to deal with it. Fort Weaver Road will be widened to six lanes. Construction to complete Kapolei Parkway will begin in 2003 and construction for the North-South Road will begin in 2004. A ferry for Ewa Beach is a strong possibility in the near future.
What is the best way to stimulate the state's economy?
Keep taxes low. Minimal government interference in business except where necessary. Tax credits and incentives where possible. More support for the sports industry and film industry since they directly benefit tourism. Support big construction projects. ...

What qualifies you to be a state senator?
I will make change happen. I am educated in political science and business organizational management. With over 16 years of community involvement and 13 years of customer service, management and training experience in the dynamic telecommunications industry, I have a strong understanding of community and state issues. I am trustworthy.

Traffic and infrastructure development. As senator, I would pursue policy committee membership on OMPO to ensure projects like the completion of Kapolei Parkway and the North-South Road/Interchange remains a top priority. ...
What is the best way to stimulate the state's economy?
As senator, I will pursue legislation to capitalize on the "Buy Hawaii" concept. In these technological times, it is important to coordinate and draft legislation to remove barriers to bring "Hawaii Products" to national and international markets. Fisheries, Limu Farms, Fiber Optics are opportunities for Hawaii to stimulate the economy.
