Disney on ice

'Pinocchio,' 'Mulan,' 'Lion King'
are among highlights

Mickey, Minnie and the gang will be taking to the ice in celebration of "Walt Disney's 100 Years of Magic" beginning today.

This year, Disney on Ice presents the insects from "A Bug's Life" as they perform circus stunts complete with fire and human-size objects.

Geppetto's toy workshop from "Pinocchio" will also come to life.

Segments from "Mulan," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Lion King" are also among the highlights. And, the Mouseketeers provide an opportunity to skate down memory lane.

Classic songs such as "When You Wish Upon a Star," "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah," "Under the Sea" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" will also have parents singing along with their children.

Show times are as follows:

Today: 7:30 p.m.
Tomorrow: Noon, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday: 10:30 a.m., 2:30 and 6 p.m.
Tuesday: 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Thursday: 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 13: 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 14: Noon, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 15: 10:30 a.m., 2:30 and 6 p.m.

Performances are at the Neal Blaisdell Arena. Tickets range in price from $15 to $50. Call 526-4400 to order tickets by phone or 593-4439 to inquire about discounted group prices.
