They and six other Yokohama, Japan, YMCA members participated in the Hiroshima Commemoration and Peace Service at Izumo Taishakyo Mission. They joined 80 kids from the Nuuanu YMCA, shown singing at left, in placing cranes at the Peace Bell.

TAKE A BITE OUT OF CRIME IN WAIPAHU

Community members from Waipahu, Honolulu, Kalihi-Palama/Chinatown and Ewa patrolled Waipahu as part of a National Night Out yesterday. These patrols are designed to increase awareness of crime and drug prevention, and generate public involvement in anti-crime efforts.
