The local Samoan community celebrated Samoan Flag Day yesterday at Keehi Lagoon Park. The annual event, during the second week of August, celebrates Samoan Independence. Yesterday was the second day of the event, which runs through Saturday. A cricket tournament is part of the event, with the championship game on Friday.
