Sailboat runs aground outside Lanai harbor

A 34 1/2-foot sailing sloop ran aground at the entrance of Manele Boat Harbor on Lanai on Friday night, but no one was injured, a fire official said.

The four men, one woman and a small dog got to shore on their own, but the boat remained at the harbor entrance as of yesterday afternoon.
