ZOO'S 75-YEAR-OLD EARPOD IS CUT DOWN

At the Honolulu Zoo, Jonas Undan from Trees of Hawaii worked today to cut down a 75-year-old earpod tree. The earpod, on the state's exceptional tree register, was cut due to prolonged sickness. Its falling branches were considered a safety hazard.
