SPEAKING OF PARTIES last weekend, there were a lot of choices around town. The Sisters in Sound held it down with their monthly event at Auntie Pasto's in Kapahulu on Saturday, while some were talking about an after-hours foam party at Virus on Kapiolani Blvd. later that night. Pipeline was also surprisingly comfortable Friday evening, with more than enough room to wander around the remodeled upstairs game area or downstairs near the go-go dancers on their pedestals while Wu-Chang kept things bumping. Tomorrow marks the deadline for entries in next year's pet pin-ups, also known as the Hawaiian Humane Society 2003 Calendar. The "Pets In Paradise" calendar, sold as a benefit for the Humane Society, will be available for sale in November.
Entries received at the Hawaiian Humane Society (2700 Waialae Ave.) by tomorrow afternoon will be submitted for judging by a panel of professionals for one of fourteen spots in the 2003 calendar. A $15 entry fee is required for each entry, and specific guidelines need to be followed when submitting a photo for consideration. Call 946-2187 for more information ...
