Jean Marie Awa, 40, of Berry Creek, Calif., formerly of Kaneohe, president of Berry Creek School Board, died Feb. 17 in Berry Creek. She was born in San Francisco. She is survived by husband Soloman; sons Noah and Jacob; brothers Frank, Chris and Andy; mother Edda Matczak; and stepfather Bernie Matczak. Francis "Francisco" Collado Basilio, 70, of Honolulu, a retired Kam Shopping Center employee, died July 4. He was born in the Philippines. Theodore "Teddy" Bell Sr., 78, of Waimea, Hawaii, a World War II veteran and a Waimea Hawaiian Homestead Association director, died Thursday at home. He was born in Waimea. He is survived by wife Pi'ilani K.M.; sons Theodore "Teddy," Rodney "Butch" and Keith K.; daughters Theolani and Theodora "Tootsie"; brother Stanley; sister Violet B. Ambrosio Gines Cabrera, also known as Ambrosio Gines Cabrara, 88, of Waianae, formerly of Seattle, a retired merchant marine for the federal government, died July 11 at home.
