The 10th annual Honolulu Shriners Hospital for Children Keiki Fun Fair will be held Aug. 10 on the hospital's front lawn from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The free family event will feature pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, inflatables and a tour of the hospital.

"We hope that people will come for the fun and activities and, while they're here, that they'll learn a little bit about our hospital, especially the impact that we've had on the lives of our patients," said Duke Gonzales, director of public relations for the hospital.

The Shriners Band and the High Performance Kites' Yo-Yo Performance Team will also be featured at the event.

Guest readers will hold read-aloud sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and distribute free books to attending children.

Last year, nearly 5,000 people attended the event.

The hospital is located at 1310 Punahou St. Attendees can park across the street at Central Union Church for $3.
