given out to hotel guests

Hilton Hotels Corp. is voluntarily recalling about 27,000 Vacation Station children's cooler/chairs given to hotel guests as a welcoming gift at participating Hilton, Doubletree and Hilton Garden Inn hotels and resorts in May and June, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village, Doubletree Waikiki and Hilton Waikoloa hotels were among the hotels that gave out the cooler/chair, a spokesperson said.

The recall comes after a report that a 2-year-old boy's fingertip was severed when the chair collapsed.

The cooler/chairs can be used as a child's chair or a food/beverage storage cooler. Vacation Station is printed on the front of the cooler bag. The items have either a purple aluminum frame and fabric seat with a green cooler bag, or a green aluminum frame and fabric seat with a blue cooler bag.

The cooler/chairs should not be returned to the hotel because the hotels do not have the replacement items.
