MVT OPENING NIGHT PARTY
GREAT JOB, GUYS!: Stefanie Anderson, right, congratulated Michael Hanuna and Martha Walstrum on their opening-night performances in Manoa Valley Theatre's "The Cripple of Inishmaan." Anderson is assisting director Vanita Rae Smith in presenting the play. Hanuna stars as "Cripple Billy." Walstrum steals several darkly comic scenes as feisty Mammy McDougal.
A VILLIAN, ME?: Jerry Tracy, left, got dramatic at MVT's post-show party. Tracy plays nosy JohnnyPateenMike (all those names are supposed to run together) in the enigmatic story of life on an Irish island. John Quincy Adams, a familiar face at MVT parties, also enjoyed the moment.
GODDESS + 2: Richard Pellett, left, and Dean Turner celebrated with MVT costume designer Athena Espania. It was a bittersweet night for Pellett, a multi-Po'okela winner, who had been cast as JohnnyPateenMike but had to drop out when he was injured in rehearsal. Espania finds out next Monday if she'll win a Po'okela for the costumes she designed for MVT's "Song of Singapore."
